An old herbalist believed to be Godwin Sanda, aged 62, has been arrested after he slept with a 14-year-old girl who was brought to him for assistance.
According to a report by Suleiman Nguroje, who is the spokeperson of the commander in charge of the case, he revealed that the old man handicapped the mentally unstable girl who was brought for treatment and defiled her.
He said;
The victim’s mother, Maryam Abubakar, reported the event to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Numan, which serves as the Numan LGA’s administrative center.
The girl, who had a mental problem, was taken by her mother to the suspect for possible medicine, according to the preliminary inquiry.
In an unexpected turn of events, the suspect urged the mother to return home while waiting for the victim to recuperate. Because the mother had been gone for five days, the suspect had illegal knowledge of the victim, which caused her to flee from his premises and return to her parents’ home.
