Award-winning actress and CEO of YN Productions, Yvonne Nelson has finally graduated with a masters degree.
The actress, celebrating her 35th birthday, shared with her followers on social media how she had to go through the mill and deal with all the struggles after welcoming her first daughter, Baby Ryn.
According to Yvonne Nelson, the journey to her master’s degree was not as smooth as it may seem as she was battling with postpartum psychosis and depression at the time she made the decision to further her education.
But as a determined mother who wanted to set an example for her daughter, she said she decided to pursue her Master’s Degree so that her daughter Ryn Roberts won’t have any excuse not to school to the highest level as well.
“I wanted to raise the bar for Ryn. Growing up, I wanted her not to have the excuse of getting a higher education. So I decided to go to school to do my Masters“, we captured from the video.
Yvonne continued that at the time, Baby Ryn was just seven months old and she had to stop breastfeeding her to achieve her goal. She added that it was heartbreaking for her anytime she watched Ryn cry out loud, but that did not deter her from doing what she’d already turned her back on.
In a video posted on YouTube, Yvonne Nelson didn’t tell the actual University she went to, but she revealed that she read a course in “MASTERS DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND DIPLOMACY”.
“Well, i went back to school because I wanted to add value to myself. I wanted to equip myself in life, I wanted to be knowledgeable when it comes to world governance, politics, superpowers. So I decided to go to school. I think the idea came when I organised my #DumsorMustStopCampaign. I realised that I needed to educate myself more on politics“, Yvonne added.
