I Feel Recognized Whenever I See People Listening To My Songs – Barima Sydney

A Ghanaian veteran musician who also played an active role in campaigning for the incumbent NPP government, Barima Sydney in a recent interview on Joy FM’s entertainment radio show, Showbiz A-Z, has revealed that his biggest award or reward is people patronising his music.

In the intervoew, the ‘Abuskeleke’ hitmaker does care about awards, but his only aim is that his album should be able to sell whenever he brings one out.

He said:

“I think people are buying it as long as my songs are available and being jammed to. It’s the biggest accolade, in my opinion.

My main concern whenever I release an album is for it to be a commercial success so that I can gauge how well it is received.

Making sure your songs are good and when you are receiving strong sales, I mean accepting it as your award, is the biggest honor or appreciation an artist can have.
