Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has officially been declared and sworn in as speaker of the 8th parliament of Ghana.
Hon Alban Bagbin was elected the 7th speaker of the 8th parliament on January 7, 2020.
He contested 6th Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Quaye in the election for a new speaker of parliament which he won by 138 votes out of 275 votes cast in a secret ballot on the floor of parliament.
