The headmistress of KNUST SHS, Felicia Asamoah Dankwah has been interdicted by the Ghana Education Service over the death of a final year student.
The exact circumstances leading to the final year student’s death are unclear, but reports say he had suffered stomach complications on Monday and was left to his fate for hours in the care of his colleagues amid Covid-19 fears.
In a statement on Wednesday, the GES said Madam Dankwaa has been asked to “step aside for the Regional Director of Education, Ashanti to take over the administration of the school while management of GES investigate the circumstances leading to the demise of a final year student.”
