Ghana Boxing Authority Suspends Patrick Allotey For Six Months Over Assault

Former WBO Africa Super lightweight champion, Patrick Allotey has been slapped with a 6 months suspension by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) following his assault on football fan a week ago.

You would recall that the 29-year-old boxer mounted hard punches on the face an Asante Kotoko fan at the Accra Sports stadium after the fan gyrated in front of him over their lead during the Kotoko and Hearts match.

The suspension which came into effect on February 6 after a meeting of the GBA executives and the boxer at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra is expected to end in August.
