The chiefs and elders of Nkoranza have this morning caught a young gay man who was alleged to have been engaging in the homosexual act as they charge him to buy 24 sheep as well as schnapps to pacify the gods.
Yaw Owusu, the accused who is in his twenties was caught by some youth of Nkoranza while having a sexual affair with another male. He was said to have been taken to the traditional council after the police directed them away from their station.
Nana Adutwumwaa Dudaa Kanii who happens to be the Omanhemaa of Nkoranza Traditional Council speaking after they caught the gay man revealed that homosexuality is an abomination that would never be accepted in the town when done.
She further revealed that anyone who is caught in the act would be made to pacify the gods with some sheep as well as schnapps in addition to the rites that would be performed.
Nana Yaw who confessed to been gay was charged to bring twenty-four (24) white sheep and a box of schnapps for a ritual or suffer the wrath of the gods.
