Eight people have been killed in Enugu State‘s Mgbuji community, Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area.
Herdsmen ambushed villagers, destroying areas of farmland and leaving a number of people missing.
Herdsmen allegedly threatened the village and blamed Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for the incident, according to the community.
The number of people injured has led to speculation that the death toll would grow.
Chinaza Akan, an eyewitness, informed The Sun that one of the victims was a pregnant woman. The fetus was removed when her stomach was opened.
The most recent occurrence occurred on Sunday afternoon near the community’s border with Benue.
