In as much as Efia Odo sometimes trends on senseless controversies to make it into the news, this time around the controversial video vixen must be applauded for her brave and patriotic move.
On the 9th of May, the video vixen and actress will be leading the viral #fixthecountry demo which is aimed seeking for a better form of governance from Nana Addo and his appointees.
Reports also have it that conveners and organizers of demonstration have written to the police to notify them about the impending development.
A part of the groups letter to the police reads;
The Organizers believe, as does the President, that democracy is not a spectator sport. We are committed to improving the
substance of governance in this country by ensuring that the ordinary voices
of Ghanaians provide a mechanism to hold elected officials accountable. There
comes a point where enough is enough.
The group further explained that May 9 was chosen for two reasons which are;
First, it captures the restless spirit of over 126 Ghanaians who lost their lives in the May 9th Accra Sports Stadium Disaster due to institutionalized incompetence and disregard for Ghanaian lives. Secondly, the Protest commemorates the 26th Anniversary of the Kume Preko Demonstration of 11 May 1995.
