Reports reaching Gossips24.com has it that ome supporters of the opposition NDC party who live in the Odododiodio constituency have been drag to court on the count on mrder charges.
It cane be recalled that during 7th December’s polls, two electorates where shot to death in the area.
Following this development, the incumbent MP, Nii Lante Vanderpuye subsequently being arrested before later being released.
According to a new report which has dried on the digital space, 5 amongst the 50 of the NDC supporters who were arrested on 7th December have been slapped with murder charges.
Amidst this court saga, Sammy Laryea, who is the Research Assistant to Mr. Vanderpuye, has alleged that all the arrested persons are innocent.
On the day of the election I think 52 of our men who had come to the party’s collation centre to submit their pink sheet and of course others who were there to observe the process were arrested by the police as a result of the unfortunate shooting by known hoodlums of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),” he told the media.
But unfortunately, our people rather got arrested, we believe every single individual arrested, we manage to obtain bail for 48 of them and later 28 of them appeared before the court today, and luckily they have been granted bail and will re-appear on 3 February.
