Esther Agbaje, a 35 year old Nigerian woman has won massively against her closest rival, Alan Shilepsky with over 74% of the total votes cast making her the elected one to into Minnesota the US house of Representatives.
She will be representing district 59B on the ticket of the Democratic Farmer Labor Party which is affiliated to the US Democratic Party.
Esther has a degree in Political Science from Washington DC University, a Law degree from Harvard University and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
Until her election, she was working as an attorney in Minneapolis.
She pulled 17,396 votes while her rival Alan pulled 4,128 votes representing 17.7%.
