Emmanuel Macron, the president of France declares nationwide lockdown due to massive second wave of coronavirus

The president of France Emmanuel Macron made a nation wide announcement on Wednesday that the country will be on lockdown coming Friday due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus.

France despite their effort to curb the virus are struck by new daily infections that have sprung up to 380 new cases in a week per 10,000 people.

On Tuesday, a jaw dropping number of 523 new deaths were recorded in just one day summing up France’s death toll to 35,541 making the country the hardest hit in Europe apart from Italy and Britain.

France and Germany are latest countries that have announced a second nation wide lock down due to the surge in cases of Corona Virus.

Health officials and experts appealed to the French government to lay down measures in the wake of the virus to reduce the pressures building on the intensive care units of the hospitals.
