631 Hot Spots Identified In Volta Region Polling Stations

Ahead of the December 7 Elections, the Ghana Police has identified some 631 polling stations in the Volta region as likely hot spots for electoral malpractices.

These areas which include; Ketu South 85, North Tongu 73, Ho west 67, Anlo 54, Keta 41, Ho Central 44 and Hohoe 37 making a total of 631 polling stations were identified by the police and the Electoral Commision.

Mr. Isaac Baah, Deputy Volta Regional Operations Commander said that security structures will be delivered to such areas to enforce zero tolerance for electoral malpractices.

He also mentioned that Regional Joint Operations Command and teams have been activated to handle any election violence in the region. Also mobile operations teams will be made to assist the fixed ones at the polling stations.

These revelations were made during a workshop for media persons in the region that was put together by the Police.
