The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has instituted a regulation that states, “No Ghana Card, No Vote.”
Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC) in charge of Corporate Services warns voters to get a Ghana card for the 2024 election.
In an interview that took place on Wednesday on The Pulse, Dr. Bossman Asare stated that in order to be registered to vote in Ghana, an individual is required to have a Ghana card.
Without the Ghana Card, a person will not be permitted to register to vote in any elections, according to him.
He said;
“Commission in collaboration with our partners took the decision that now let us have the Ghana card as the main requirement.”
“So what this means is that as soon as you acquire your Ghana card with a continuous registration, you just go to our district office where you are located then you go and register and your name will be put on the roll of voters,”
