Ghana’s Auditor-General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo has returned to office after going on leave for 167 days ordered by Akufo-Addo.
Tension had been building up a day to his return after the Audit Service Board led by Prof. Edward Dua Agyeman, alleged that the A-G had reached his compulsory retirement age in 2020 and also was not Ghanaian.
According to a live feed by Citi TV and monitored by Gossips24.com, he reported to work exactly at 8:20 today, March 3, 2021.
The Auditor General had to use the back door to enter his office as the main lock had been changed and he had no access.
As at 7am, journalists had swarmed the office anticipating a showdown. As at 9am, no member of the board has been sighted, per reports.
Attempts by journalists, who had pitched camp at the premises of the Office to get a word from the Auditor-General, were scuttled by the police.
