The Ministry of Health has decided that all public COVID-19 laboratories offering walk-in services should only charge travellers.
According to a statement from the ministry, anyone can walk in and test for COVID-19 for free at public health facilities when that person is contact traced or feels ill and also suspects they have COVID-19 related symptoms.
The statement also indicated that travellers are, however, required to pay when they go in for COVID-19 testing in such facilities. All public health facilities are expected to comply with the directive from the ministry.
This new directive succeeds the spike in the active recorded cases which has been recorded so far.
