Breakdown of 10 new coronavirus cases recorded in Tamale

A few minutes ago, Gossips24.com reported Ghana’s coronavirus cases has skyrocketed from 141 to 152.

The Ghana health service on Sunday disclosed on its official website that 10 persons have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus in the northern regional capital, Tamale.

Per our findings, 10 persons are all Guineans. They were picked by security officials for coming into Ghana from Burkina Faso and tested positive for the Coronavirus.

After their arrest, they were put under mandatory quarantine in Tamale where they were all confirmed to be COVID-19 positive after testing.

“Ten (10) of the new cases were among persons who were under mandatory quarantine in Tamale under the direction of the Regional Security Committee of the Northern Region,” the government said.”

They “travelled through Burkina Faso and Togo to Ghana and were picked following intelligence report,” the government says.
