COP Akuffo Dampare To Be Sworn In As Substantive IGP Today

The president of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo would today October 8th swear in COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as the new IGP of the Ghana Police.

The swearing-in comes after the president appointed him as the acting Inspector General Of Police after the retirement of the former IGP.

President Akuffo-Addo since the appointment of Dampare has commended him for the numerous work he has been able to do within the shortest time he was appointed as the IGP.

According to the president, Mr. Dampare is the right person to be appointed the IGP since he has been able to bring the police force on its toes to rapidly attend to criminal cases as well as keep Ghanaians up-to-date with the happenings of the Police service.

The police administration under Dampare has gained a wide range of admiration due to the swift nature at which they respond to criminal cases as well as the release of information on social media.
