China records another deadly disease, Hantavirus

China has officially tested positive for a newly recorded deadly disease, Hantavirus on Monday.

According to reports, a Chinese national was reportedly traveling by bus in the Yunan province when he suddenly died and tests revealed the presence of the deadly hantavirus and efforts are on to test the other 32 co-passengers.

Per Gossips24.com findings, unlike coronavirus, hantavirus does not spread in the air. In fact, humans who contract the hantavirus usually come into contact with rodents (mammals of the order Rodentia) that carry the virus.

“Rodent infestation in and around the home remains the primary risk for hantavirus exposure. Even healthy individuals are at risk for Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) infection if exposed to the virus,” Centre for Disease Control and Prevention said.
