Celebrities In China Banned From Displaying Their Wealth

A new law implemented in China has led to the ban of celebrities taking to social media to display their wealth and properties acquired on the internet for people to see.

According to reports, the new law was announced by the Cyberspace Administration of China as they called for everyone known as a celebrity to adhere to the new directives.

The new rule also prevents them from posting or making false reportages that would cause their fans and followers against other fan groups and spread rumors.

September 20201 saw the Chinese celebrities being cautioned to ‘oppose the decadent ideas of money worship, hedonism, and extreme individualism.

According to reports, the new directives form part of the countries plans in strengthening its grip on the entertainment industry as well as promoting socialist core values, and maintaining a healthy style and taste’.
