The Ghana police service has sent some words of warning to all those engaging in the free shatta campaign which is currently ongoing in the country.
Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service Superintendent Alexander Obeng who was speaking on the arrest of the musician revealed that anyone who is part of the campaign should advise him or herself to avoid being arrested.

According to him, Shatta Wale is not above the law therefore he needs to be dealt with when he infringes upon the law in the country.
He further added that if Ghanaians can start a hashtag for Shatta then they should also do the same for the armed robber who was arrested at Adieso yesterday and had lots of guns in his possession.
“Ghanaians should stop the freeshatta campaign because he is not above the law and needs to be dealt with when he does something which is wrong”
