A brother to one of the alleged Police Officers involved in the James Town bullion van robbery and killing of another policeman has broken silence.
The two police officers who had been arrested earlier in the ongoing investigations have died.
During a raid at Borteyman in Ashaiman to apprehend more suspects, there was an exchange of gunshots and the two police officers, Constable Reindolph Gyimah Ansah and Corporal Stephen Kwaku Nyame, were shot and were pronounced dead on arrival at the Police Hospital where they were rushed to.
A brother to Corporal Stephen Kwaku Nyame has opened up on the press release of Ghana Police Service concerning his brother’s involvement and alleged death following his arrest.
According to him Constable Gyimah Ansah popularly known as Pablo fingered Kwaku Nyame as aprt of the police officers who attacked the bullion van.
Meanhwile, Kwaku Nyame has been at the hospital following a motor accident and other sickness which had caused him to be hospitalized for days.
He narrated that the Police arrested and took his brother to a police hospital and stopped his family members including his wife from seeing after they charged him as a suspect of the bullion van robbery.
He added that they were never informed about his alleged death until they heard from people in their area and on radio.
He said he believes his brother is innocent and has not died. He said they have not seen his dead body.
