Bawumia is more than qualified to lead the NPP – Ghana’s ambassador to Burkina Faso

As the race for the NPP flagbearership draws closer, a lot of people are getting ready to campaign for their favorite to win the position. So far, the race, as per a lot of people, is between the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanteng.

However, according to the ambassador to Burkina Faso, Boniface Gambilla, Bawumia is more than ready to be the next president of the Republic of Ghana. In an interview, he expressed his opinions and praised the Vice President for his outstanding work in the 2012 election petition.

The ambassador said:

“The man who stood in the dock in the 2012 election petition, exposed the electoral commission and the rigging machinery of the NDC and made the court make recommendations for improving the electoral system. He is a well-known economist at the World Bank and IMF. They picked him up and took information from him before he became Vice President. He is overqualified [to be president]. That doesn’t mean we don’t have other people, “

When the time is due, you can ask me. When they [NPP] lift the ban, you ask me again, “Mark it down and I’ll tell you whether I support him or not.”
