Asamoah Gyan bags UN Ambassadorial role

Ghana’s most prolific footballer and general captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has been given a United Nations ambassadorial role.

Asamoah Gyan was sworn in today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the United Nations Youth Association of Ghana (UNYA-GH).

It’s been communicated that Gyan will be serving as the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations.

The 34-year-old striker has had a successful football career for both club and country. He played in three FIFA World Cups and seven Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Sunderland striker is Ghana’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals. He currently plays for NorthEast United in India.
