Bernard Allotey Jacobs, a social commentator, has eulogized the late former President of Ghana, J J Rawlings by sharing some fond memories of him.
According to him, Rawlings loved Ghana in several ways more than Ghana loved him. He described how selfless he was towards people around him.
He recounted; “We went for a by-election in Bimbilla…on our way, we were involved in an accident and his car somersaulted; there was darkness all over and all we could see was Rawlings wearing a white attire coming towards us. He inquired if we were okay. He wasn’t thinking about himself, he was thinking about us….”.
Mr. Allotey Jacobs made these revelations while he was speaking in an interview on UTV.
