Akua Donkor, 2020 Presidential Candidate on the ticket of Ghana Freedom Party has given President Akuffo Addo some accolades for his strides in agriculture.
According to her, as a result of the Planting for Food and Jobs programme introduced by the NPP, food has become available, accessible and affordable to Ghanaians.
Adding that, she is not by this campaigning for the President, she said that she was only commending the feats that he has made with Agriculture being a farmer herself.
She further advised that, since the President is achieving success in Agriculture, he should focus on it more.
She said;
“As a farmer myself, I have to admit that President Akufo-Addo Addo has done well, that programme introduced by the Agric Minister, I mean the Planting for Food and Jobs has been very successful” she noted, stressing that Ghanaians must commend the President and the Minister for this achievement “
“In Ghana today, we have no problem with food, it is available and also affordable. Even during the period of this deadly disease, Ghana had no problem with food at all”
“Today farmers are not crying about hardship like they used to do; their production has increased (I can use myself as an example because I have also benefitted from the policy). Nobody should think I am campaigning for the NPP but the thing is that what is true is true”
