AirtelTigo Gave MUSIGA $70,000 Which They Invested In Menzgold (video)

On Thursday, 18th July, 2019, there were reports that MUSIGA had invested an amount of Ghc70,000 in the gold dealership company, Menzgold.

This was a rumour until a member of the executive committee, Bessa Simons who is also contesting to be voted as president in the union’s upcoming election.

What is the worry here? – Well, the long-standing secret wouldn’t have been a public topic if Menzgold was still doing well.

Though Bessa Simons in an earlier report by Gossips24.com made it known that the Musician Union Of Ghana invested solely with positive intentions of strengthening the Union’s financial fortunes and the outcome was very unfortunate, another problem is the decision the executives (NEC) took without consulting members of the union.

As we have been made to believe, the Union only invested Ghc 70,000, however, a member of the National Executive Council of MUSIGA, Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi has giving more insight to the story.

According to Ras Caleb, the National Executive Committee took the decision on their own – which is wrong.

Ras in an interview with Prince Tsegah on Hitz Fm’s ‘USeyWeytin‘ made a shocking revelation that the amount allegedly involved is not Ghc 70,000 but rather $70,000 – he didn’t sound so sure on how much was invested, but emphasized on the amount.

He revealed the aforementioned $70,000 was an amount received from AirtelTigo for erecting their mast at the MUSIGA premise.

Ras who is also vying for the union’s presidency position averred that the union has not giving a clear account of how the money has been spent, only to eavesdrop the said amount is now with the sinking gold dealership company, Menzgold.
