Ace Broadcaster, Afia Amankwah Tamakloe, has shared story of her success on aggressive interview with Kweku Manu.
According to her, the journey to success has not been on a silver platter as she had to endure and sacrifice heavily before finally achieved the mileage she seem to enjoy today.
The mother of two touching on some of the blows she had to encounter said, She worked with ADOM fm of Multimedia for two years plus without a cent as ‘take home’ money.
Without mincing words she stated “I was working for Adom, I reported on stories for two or so years without salary”
“I remember there was a time, I was sent by my editor to report on a story at Tarkwa, So I couldn’t read the Sunday news. I was suspended for two-weeks. Imagine suspension for a job without pay but all this while I endured ” She added.
The Multimedia employee said the window of breakthrough open for her when Asempa Fm was established. She was then sent there as an official newscaster, that is when she started receiving salary.
Mrs. Tamakloe is currently one the finest Twi news presenters both in Television and Radio. She has numerous awards and accolades to her name.
