Award-winning Ghanaian singer, Wendy Addo, aka Wendy Shay is in trouble as YouTube deletes her new single, “Pray For The World”.
Wendy Shay released the song, Pray For The World, on 31st December 2020 to mark the end of a year that took joy out of the world.
As the title of the song goes, Wendy promised her single was going to be world wide hit. Perhaps with a goal in mind, Wendy sort to sample the popular ‘Jerusalema’ beat for her single but her version was deleted by YouTube.
Producer of the song, MOG Beats took to Twitter to reveal the sad fate of Wendy’s new single on YouTube. He stated that the song had been reported multiple times for being a copied version of Jerusalema.
According to him, the multiple reports were made by a group of people believed to be Ghanaians who have gross hate for the songstress.
He wrote; “Why am hearing that a group of people went to report Wendy Shay’s “Pray For The World” video and now YouTube has taken it down for what?!! I am angry!!“
“Ow Ghana so this is how bad you guys hate @wendyshaygh ? I am disappointed I cannot lie to you!,” MOG continued.
