“Your career is likely to collapse if you involve yourself into politics” – Keche Andrew
Member of the music duo, Keche, who is widely known as Keche Andrew in the showbiz industry has argued that Ghanaians are yet to understand politics as a subject in a broad area.
According to him, it is very difficult as a showbiz person to unveil your political affiliation because you might attract intense hate for yourself, which will consequently collapse your career.
Granting an exclusive interview with Happy 98.9FM’s Doctor Cann on Showbiz Xtra, he added that the individual careers of showbiz personalities should not be torn down just because they endorsed a certain political party.
He said;
In Ghana, we have not grown in political issues as compared to other countries. In those places, an artiste can endorse a political party and that will not affect them in anyway. But the situation is different here in Ghana
In Ghana, politics is a very emotional affair. We have fans who belong to different political parties and when you endorse one, you divide your fan base and it affects you. We will not endorse any party
