Wutah Is Selfish, I Am Suing Them – Guru NKZ speaks

Hiplife musician and CEO of NKZ Records, Maradona Yeboah Adjei better known as Guru NKZ has expressed gross disappointment in Wutah music group.

When Wutah, made up of Afriyie and Wutah Kobby, reunited in 2017 after splitting for about seven years, they were signed on to Guru’s NKZ Records and released the hit tracks AK47 and Bronya which won them the Best Group of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) last year.

Out of nowhere, we all woke up to a video in which Wutah Kobby pronounced the split of the duo which broke many hearts.

In a recent interview with SV Tv Africa at the unveiling of nominees for this year’s Ghana Music Awards Uk, Guru revealed that the music group, Wutah was using the brand for selfish gains.

Apparently, one half of the music duo has been using the name (Wutah) singed onto NKZ records for personal chop chop without the knowledge of the management.

“The truth is, it’s a financial issue. But I’ve done my bid as a CEO the company needs to reap back and invest back into you. Then you decide to use the brand for your selfish gain…. So right now, management is working on suing the music duo for breach of contract, because they’ve wasted our money and time”

Expressing his disappointment, Guru NKZ further revealed the amount he invested in Wutah to get them all the recognition they needed is colossal enough to carter for the fees of poor students in good schools.

He further revealed he was not going to deal with them as individuals hence the need to drag the group – Wutah – to court to recoup his investments.
