We have yet to enter 2024, but former President John Dramani Mahama is already putting out campaign messages about what he will do if elected.
According to Mahama, as reported by Pulse Ghana, the 1992 will be reviewed and some ministries will be scrapped as he thinks they are all not needed and a waste of money.
He said:
“The NDC is also committed to the implementation of a review of the 1992 constitution which should, among others, place a cap on the number of Supreme Court Justices and face the issues of Article 21 head-on.”
“The next NDC government must commit to the implementation of the review of the 1992 Constitution, which was begun by President John Evans Atta Mills, of blessed memory.
“Among other things, this review should aim to reform the judiciary and address head-on issues concerning ex-gratia payments and other Article 71 emoluments.”
