The recent rate at which people keep being kidnapped in the western region has become alarming as a 26 years old lady has also been kidnapped.
The lady whose name was identified as Stephanie Kumiwaa was said to have been kidnapped after he spoke to her boyfriend that she would be visiting him after church.
The boyfriend of the lady who reported the incident to the police revealed that her girlfriend called her and told her she would be coming home on the 17th October but she never came as promised which got her worried.
According to the guy he was there one morning when he received a call from Stephanie but when he picked up it was the kidnappers who demanded the young man to pay 2000 or else they would rape Stephanie and use her for ritual.
The young man who was worried about his girlfriend was said to have tried his best to get 1000 which he sent to the kidnappers but they later called and asked him to send another 2000gh.
The case was then reported to the Mpohor Police and the Assemblymember of the town.
As at November 1, 2021, the whereabouts of Stephanie is yet to be known.
