Wendy Shay threatens legal action against producers of Netflix movie ‘Slay’

Songstress Wendy Shay has threatened to take legal action against producers of a movie on American streaming platform, Netflix.

The Rufftown Records signee shared a snippet of the film on her Instagram page and lamented that neither she nor her management was informed her hit song ‘All For You’ was featured in the movie.

She captioned; “So, I watched this movie last night on Netflix and my song, ‘All for you’ was featured without my consent or that of my management. Producers of the movie ‘Slay’, it is a crime to use someone’s intellectual property without her consent. Kindly do the needful or i will see y’all in court”

Produced by Elvis Chucks, Slay features a star-studded cast of African legends which includes Amanda Dupont, Ramsey Noah, Dawn Thandeka, Enhle Mbali, Fabian Lojede, Lilian Dube, Trevor Gumbi, Tumi Morake, Idris Sultan, Leroy Gopal, Joe Kazadi, and Kabomo Vilakazi and Ghanaian actors, Kalybos and Bismark The Joke.

The movie Slay tells the story of girls who prey on older, promiscuous men.
