Wendy Shay Must Win VGMA New Artiste Of The Year – Shatta Wale
Renowned Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has tipped Rufftown Records signee Wendy Shay to win New artiste of the year at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).
Shatta made this known via his instagram page when he shared a photo of himself with Wendy Shay hinting on an upcoming song but the part that caught our attention was a statement he made in caption with which he a declared that the singer will win the VGMA new artiste of the year.

Wendy Shay has been tipped by Ghanaians and some industry players to win New Artist of the year award at the yet-to-be-held VGMA and the latest to add his voice is Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale’s assertion was not made because he is yet to record a song with the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker but he has been praising the songstress for some time now even before they decided to work together.
The SM boss has eulogized Wendy Shay because she has worked hard under the year under review.
Many have however tipped the Rufftown Records signee to win the new artiste of the year coupled with other awards.
Wendy Shay who is tagged by some Ghanaians as Ebony’s replacement was publicly introduced to Ghanaians at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) by the CEO of Rufftown Records, Bullet.
It is barely a year that the ‘bedroom commando’ hitmaker has been in the music industry but has been very impactful and proven to the world to be a great talent.
Wendy Shay released a debut album just within 6 months of being in the music scene.
The 10-track album has smashing hits like Uber Driver, Astalavista, Psalm 35, Uber Driver, Shay on You, Hold my waist, Bedroom Commando and many others.
