SERAP, The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project says it will sue the President Muhammadu Buhari led Nigerian government to ensure Nigerian citizens’ properties and lives are protected.

Before making mention of the impending suit, SERAP had already reported the killings of protesters by the military to the International Criminal Court.

According to the group, the President seems to be unwilling to stop the ongoing violent crisis in the country.

This is what they had to say in a tweet.

“President Buhari’s government seems unwilling or unable to stop the violence, looting and killings by armed thugs in Lagos and other places.

“We’ll sue to compel @NigeriaGov to protect people’s rights to life, security and liberty if this is not urgently addressed. #EndSARS,”
