Information making waves has it that the Ghana Police service crashed with civilians at the ongoing demonstration by pressure group, Arise Ghana, and a lot of policemen picked up injuries because they were just trying to protect the civilians and it wasn’t their intention to fire or hurt them.
However, through the official twitter page of the Ghana Police Service, they have revealed that they were there to protect the civilians but they tried to throw stones at them and injure them. They also revealed that such behavior must be condemned and stopped.
In their own words, they wrote;
Attack on Police in the Ongoing Arise Ghana Demonstration What a shame, we were there to protect you and ensure your safety, but you throw stones at us, injure and hurt us. This behaviour is unacceptable and must be condemned.
