We Can’t Find NDC MPs Who Held ‘Bloody Widow’ Placards’ – Parliament

Information coming in has it that, the opposition MPs who tagged the wife of the late Emmanuel Agyarko as a “bloody widow” cannot be identified for possible punishment.

According to the Office of the Clerk of Parliament, although the footage was viewed in Parliament on that day, they couldn’t identify the MPs who held the placards with “bloody widow” inscription during the swearing-in ceremony of Lydia Alhassan MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon.

The ‘bloody widow’ tag came about after the bloody scenes at the by_election that took place on the 31st of January, 2019.

During the by-election about 15 people were hospitalised as a result of the voilence that went on at the premises and Lydia Alhassan was eventually declared winner after the NDC pulled out of the race.

NDC after pulling out of the election also boycotted her swearing-in on Febuary 6, 2019 citing the bloody circumstances surrounding her victory.

The NDC has since been backlashed by a section of Ghanaians for using such distasteful words.
