In a wake to curb the rapid spread of COVID 19, a double-track system was proposed by the authorities of the various public Universities in the country.
This double-track system is a measure that will ensure that students come to school in batches to finish their syllabus, unlike the regular academic year.
This new measure however did not go down well with the students of the University of Ghana, Legon because they believe that they are matured enough to abide by the safety protocols of Corona Virus and therefore do not need a double-track system.
The majority of the student populace took to the campus of the University of Ghana to protest to the Government as well as school authorities.
One of the dire pleas of the student body of the school is that the double-track system is a recipe for disaster because it is impossible to complete the syllabus in just 6 weeks of tuition.
Many students of the University were spotted on the school promises dressed in red and black clothes to signify their anger.
