A level 400 student whose name was identified as Abdulwaheed Waliu of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty Of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, Kwara State has been arrested for beating a female lecturer.
The young man who was said to have failed to write an exam went to his lecturer whose name was identified as Mrs. Zakaria for help which she denied leading to the young man banging her desk.
According to reports the student went closer to the lecturer in the office and started landing her some slaps after which she dragged her out of the office to the front of the department and continued beating her.
Passers-by saw who saw what was happening ran to the scene but the student ran but was caught by the school’s security personnel. He has been handed over to the police while the lecturer became unconscious for a moment until she was revived.”
