Ghanaian musician and songwriter King Promise born Gregory Promise Bortey Newman has been featured in British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) news.
In a video sighted by Gossips24 on the social media handles of King Promise, the BBC reporter was heard asking him who Abena is.
“Who is Abena“? the reporter quizzed
The ” Abena” hitmaker quickly replied to the question saying”Abena is just a name that rhyme with whoever was writing and it just sounded perfect“,
When asked about his unique way of dressing, he stressed that he always wants to look good and have an eye for fashion.
Speaking about the challenges he faced as a musician,
The “CCTV” hit-maker said that at a point in time he was unable to pay for studio time to record his music and even getting people to listen to his music was also a big challenge.
Getting to the latter part of the interview, King Promise advised the young talents out there to believe in their selves and work hard towards their passion.
“people like me I come from Nungua and Nungua is a small town in Accra and I’m here today on BBC you know it just shows if you believe and work hard there is no limit to where you can go to”, he said.
