A video at the disposal of Gossips24.com has shown moments when some group of people that engage in the illegal mining known as Galamsey were seen drowning after the river started mixing with the sand.
In the video, some of the men were seen struggling to get hold of some ropes that were been thrown into the river for them to hold on to as the river took them away.
The men who were secretly mining after the government called for an end to Galamsey were seen crying to God for help as some of them were unable to hold on to the rope and were washed away by the mixture of the river water and sand.
