The vetting of the ministerial nominees of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to start today, February 10, 2021.
The vetting is scheduled to take place at the DF Annan Auditorium in parliament.
The Minister-designate for Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, who is also Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central Constituency, and the Minister-designate for National Security, Albert Kan Dapaah, will begin the exercise.
They will face an even Vetting and Appointments Committee of 13 Majority and Minority members apiece.
The Committee will be chaired – for the second time in a row – by First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei Owusu, who is also MP for Bekwai Constituency. Ranking Member is Tamale South MP and Majority Leader Haruna Iddrisu, who is also assuming that role for the second consecutive time.
