Multiple-award-winning Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker, has recounted how a couple of Nigerian actors threatened to make his life miserable.
Because to them, they believed him [Van Vicker] had taken up their roles in numerous Nigerian movies.
The handsome actor made this revelation during an appearance on UTV’s late-night entertainment show dubbed Showbiz Agenda hosted by empress Nana Ama Mcbrown.
As revealed by Van Vicker even though he was paid very well by the Nigerian producers, but he faced a number of adverse situations and a few threats from some unhappy Nigerian actors.
You know film business is incredibly competitive, so, it’s either him or him. When there is a certain range, it’s Mr. A or Mr. B, so if Mr. A is the one on top, he’s on for a very long time and that doesn’t give way for others to shine so the Nigerian lead actors weren’t too comfortable.
Majid Michel who was also guest on the show shared a tale of how he and Jackie Appiah walked from Osu to Dzorwulu because they were broke.
Yvonne Nelson also recalled on the difficulties she faced whiles she was schooling at Central University and was on the peak of her acting career same time.
