#ucclivesmatters is trending on social media – Twitter especially – after a group of armed men believed to be armed robbers stormed the campus to rob students who were studying at LLT.
According to accounts given by some students on campus, the thieves and thugs around the campus have been attacking them every now and then with security personnel being unable to come to their rescue.
There have been countless cases of rape and others on robbery within the campus and in their hostels. However, the management and authorities of the University, which is undoubtedly the third biggest university in Ghana, have decided not to come to their aid.
With tonight’s incident being a very alarming one, Netizens quizzed whether there are no security men on campus who could have at least faced the robbers. Surprisingly, students revealed in countless tweets that security men on campus only have torch lights as their weapons and mostly are unable to come to their rescue in situations like this.
Per tweets sighted by Gossips24.com, students are really not at peace on campus despite the need to study and pass their exams, meanwhile the management of the university have said or done nothing to ensure that security is beefed up since cases of the sort started becoming rampant on campus. It appears they don’t give a hoot about the lives of these students since their kids are not in the University – pathetic!
