Captain Smart’s indefinite suspension has become a national topic after the President of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe broke the news on his Facebook page around 10:00 am yesterday.
Franklin Cudjoe wrote;
Had a worrying conversation moments ago. Captain Smart’s boss has allegedly asked him to go off air for a while as a result of undue pressure that has been piled on him by ‘high ranking officials in government’. Captain Smart’s crime, allegedly, is that his usual critical commentary on national affairs, is making government unpopular. Really? I hope it is not some over zealous politicians who made those calls. Either way, it paints a gravely intolerant picture. #Fixitnow!
From Captain Smart’s own mouth dyring an interview with Paul Adom Otchere on Metro TV yesternight, he confirmed that some bigwigs in the NPP party reported him to his boss for severely and fearlessly criticizing Nana Addo and Bawumia hence the need for him to be benched for a while.
Aside from Sammy Gyamfi who has bashed Dr Kwaku Oteng, our very own Twene Jonas has joined the bandwagon to berate Dr Kwaku Oteng.
According to Twene Jonas, Captain Smart did nothing wrong as he’s just a freedom fighter who is bringing to light the ills of the country, therefore, he should be recalled to post.
