Teacher Kwadwo Opens Up About How Losing Huawei Contract Impacted His Career

Born Michael Owusu Afriyie, Ghanaian comedian, Teacher Kwadwo had said in an interview with Ghana Weekend TV that he was not worried when he lost a deal with Huawei Ghana.

Arguably one of the biggest social media influencers in Ghana, Teacher Kwadwo first broke into the Ghanaian creative space limelight when he started getting a lot of likes for his funny posts and videos on Facebook.

As he fame grew, his influence grew as well, and in no time, he landed an ambassadorial deal with some companies.

Notable of the numerous brands he represented or had to represent was Huawei.

Unfortunately for him, his ambassadorial deal with the Chinese multinational technology company was called off after he made some comments on social media which were considered sexually offensive somewhere 2018.

Consequently, Teacher Kwadwo lost his deal with Huawei as a brand influencer and was also queried by the District Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES).

But in an interview, Teacher Kwadwo revealed that after his unfortunate ordeal with Huawei, he gained a lot of deals after that.

“When this issue happened, I got bigger opportunities I may not have had. I got a deal from Homechow, Promasidor, 2CTV, UTV and other brand influencer deals,” he said.
