Stonebwoy Crowned Favourite African Star At 2019 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards

Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, Livingstone Etse Satekla, a.k.a Stonebwoy has been crowned the Favourite African Star At Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019.

Nickelodeon aired its 2019 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday night (March 22), held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.

DJ Khaled hosted the annual kids-voted ceremony, which kicked off at 8 p.m. ET and handed out honors in the categories of music, movies, TV and more.

The Ghanaian musician came into fierce competition with other big stars from across Africa including Adesua Etomi and I.K. Osakioduwa Nigeria, Sauti Sol from Kenya.

Stonebwoy becomes the first African dancehall artist to win both BET and Nickelodeon award.

In 2015, Stonebwoy won the Best African Act Award at BET.

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards was first won in 2017 by Trevor Noah and Eddy Kenzo in 2018.
