Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie has advised his fans and Ghanaians to observe the social distancing rules just so they can help save the situation at hand.
The rapper who was amused by the level at which Ghanaians seemed not to care about the spread of the virus took to twitter to react.
According to Sarkodie, he is aware – as an African – that partying and socializing is a great deal to us, but believes this is not the time to risk our lives because of parties.
He begged Ghanaians to stay at home for sometime to save themselves and their loved ones until government brings the situation under control.
Advising his fans and the public, he tweeted; “I see my people out there still gathering in groups and some actually partying… I’m from Africa and I know how important socializing is to us but guys Pleeeease stay home for sometime to save yourself, your loved ones and others #COVID19“
This comes just a day after a video of some Ghanaians chilling at the beach went viral on social media.
