Nana Akufo-Addo during his 21st address to the nation on covid-19 has announced the reopening of Senior High Schools.
The President during the address on Sunday, January 3, 2021, announced that SHS 1 students, thus those who completed JHS in 2020 will be going back to school on 10th March 2021.
Nana Akufo-Addo, however, stated that SHS 2 & SHS 3 students will return to school with classes commencing on 18th January 2021.
He added that SHS1 & SHS3 students in all schools will no longer run the double track system due to adequate infrastructure made available across the nation.
Meanwhile, the double track system will still be applicable by SHS 2 students in Senior High Schools that are employing it.
